We’re at it again here at Man-Made Reviews, this time we’re checking out the best-looking sedans of model year 2013. With the popularity of SUV’s on the decline due to gas prices, we’ve seen a bit of a resurgence in sedans. With renewed consume interest comes renewed manufacturer interest as well as design innovation. There are some very nice looking cars available out on the market today. Let’s take a look at our picks by category.
Full-Size Sedan – Import Segment
First up in our lineup of best-looking sedans is in the import segment. Our choice for best-looking full-size import sedan for model year 2013 is the Hyundai Genesis sedan. With an MSRP starting in the lower $30′s USD, this sedan offers luxury for the rest of us. I’m sure you’ve seen one cruising down the street before. I’ve personally mistaken them for their Mercedes Benz CLS look-alikes. While they may borrow some styling queues from other manufacturers, it’s hard to deny the looks aren’t head-turning and often prompt questions of their owners. Couple its looks with Hyundai’s improvements in quality and availability of financing and the Genesis is an import that just about everyone can agree on.
Full-Size Sedan – Domestic Manufacturer
Talk about a tough segment! US auto manufacturers are struggling to keep their market share given all of the competition coming in from overseas. Rightfully so – Europe and Asia are producing some top-notch vehicles. But can US manufacturers keep pace with all the competition? Two vehicles for model year 2013 tell me the resounding answer is “yes”. While we can only pick one overall winner for this category, we really like both the Lincoln MKS and the new Chrysler 300 in this segment. Our overall winner is the Chrysler 300 for looks – this car oozes sexy and style (their ads were pretty awesome, too). While some would argue that US manufacturers are circling the drain, I think their offerings for the upcoming model year paint a completely different picture.
Full-Size Sedan – Luxury Segment
Competition is extremely tight in this segment of vehicles with makers like Audi, Lexus, Mercedes, Infinity, Cadillac and now even Hyundai going toe to toe with their flagship models. The race was close here as well. Our pick for the best looking luxury sedan for model year 2013 is the Cadillac XTS. Let’s face it, guys – Cadillac isn’t just for your grandpa to drive to and from the golf course any more. Cadillac is producing some high-quality, gorgeous vehicles now and it’s time for the younger generations to take notice (I think we already have). While the model doesn’t innovate within the Cadillac line – I think it looks a lot like the CTS – the look and feel of the exterior and interior is hard to beat, even in the luxury class. The fact that it’s half than some of its competition? Icing on the cake.
